Disabled checkbox caption not looking good

Hello:

I read here

that

"A disabled textual Check Box has a dithered caption. Mostly this sucks. You can workaround this by setting the Fore Color to 0,0,1 and DisabledForeColor to 0,0,0 (yes override it with it's default value)."

It works ... kinda'. The caption looks greyish and its text has white borders.

Does anyone know of any better method?
